Welcome Radio X fans to another semester at NMU and Radio X. We are in the process of upgrading and updating a lot here at Radio X. The transmitter project appears to be moving at a more comfortable pace and should finally be complete by the end of this semester! Our automation system is undergoing maintenance, but we are still adding music, and it is still playing music! We are hiring new, committed DJs, so slots should fill up with a variety of shows in no time! Radio X is pretty much taking a new step in its service to the campus and the community, and this semester is when we are taking that step. We appreciate your unending support and hope that you continue to stick with us as we serve you more and more!

I hope that everyone of our staff, DJs, and fans has a rockin' Christmas break! When classes resume, Radio X has a bunch of new stuff to bring your way. New DJs, new staff, and hopefully very soon, a completed new transmitter! 

Our new staff for the winter 2012 semester:

Tony Walin- Production Director

Matthew Holliday- I.T. Director

Jacob Stipe- Public Affairs Coordinator

Stephanie Dietz is returning to the staff as Training Director

Why is "its the end of the world as we know it" by r.e.m. playing constanty?

Well our automation system crashed and because of that we have no automation system to play music when our dj's aren't on air. so, "its the end of the world as we know it" and a station id are playing in a constantly loop during parts of the day and the night.

sorry for the inconvenience! Believe me, I am just as bummed out about his as you are! After all, Radio X is the only place I can hear music I like. We at Radio X know you feel the same way and we are working hard to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Please be sure to check in on your favorite regularly scheduled shows throughout the day. Once again I apologize for the repetition of it all!

Public Affairs Coordinator Also needed

This job is quite simple. You need to update the calendar of events for DJs to read while they do their show. This includes any and all campus events as well as the Local Music Calendar at community venues. Applications are due December 2nd to Radio X and are available outside the station.

RADIO X IS HIRING FOR A NUMBER OF STAFF POSITIONS!!!

Hey yall! The following positions are open for applications at this time: Station Manager, Music Director, Training Director, Production Director, and IT Director. Applications are available outside Radio X and are due December 2nd, except for the Station Director app which will be due November 18. You can turn in your applications inside the assigned red box located in the station. If you are interested in these jobs, stop by the station or go to the NMU career services website for a description of the positions, and if you can, try to shadow one of the current staff members to get a feel for the position.
