Favorite Movie: American Beauty Biography: IMPORTANT NOTICE: Although our show will continue broadcasting over summer break, the theme theme is on hiatus while I ponder, conceptualize, and assemble more mixes. In the meantime, I will be playing non-themed or loosely-themed mixes culled from whatever I happen to be digging on at the moment. Starting NOW Each show is a mixtape with a central theme and YOU, the listener, have to guess what it is. Themes are often lyrical but can be musical or conceptual as well. Prizes will rarely be attempted to be given away and fun might be had. Previous themes include: water, atheism, stories, limerence, animals, questions, Michigan, opposites, booze, violence, four:twenty, sex, banjos, keyboards, music about music, food, repetition, dancing, covers, bicycles, home, cars, drugs, instrumental songs by bands who aren\'t usually instrumental, counting, male/female vocals, girls names, music with horns that isn\'t ska, a \"jgkfltcend\" christmas, the 50 states, sleep, goddamn, alienation, traveling, short songs, a sequential year, handclaps, america, girls names (again), guys names, heat, side projects, and goodbye. I like folk music and puns and staying out of trouble. I also like punk music and bike riding and things that are funny. I like lots and lots of music and that\'s why I have a radio show. Well, half of a radio show. Thor Bloodbath and I split the show. I play tunes for the first half, he picks tunes for the second. Our system works well as it\'s like two shows for the price of nothing. Every week, in preparation for my show, I make a playlist from my personal music library in which every song is lovingly selected and tenderly sequenced to make your JGKFLTCEND listening experience as enjoyable as possible. In essence, each show is a journey, an experience, an adventure, a declaration, a mixtape for your nighttime car ride, a statement of defiance towards the current consumerist musical climate, a salute to artists who care about their craft and don\'t see their music as a product, a middle finger salute to whoever deserves one (just because), an event of moderate proportions, an experiment in exceedingly excessive and exhaustively extensive hyperbole, an effective effort in extremely exuberant examples of alliteration!!!!!!(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Simply put, I play the songs I like to hear by artists many people haven\'t heard because I think they\'re worth sharing. Try to give the show a listen sometime, you might like what you hear. And if you don\'t you can always request one of your favorites. HOURLY WEATHER! GREAT MUSIC! PSAs! NO COMMERCIALS! LOCAL MUSIC CALENDARS! MORE THAN 4 YEARS RADIO X EXPERIENCE! NO SWEARING MEANS CLEAN OL\' FUN FOR ALL AGES! DANCING ALLOWED WHEN APPROPRIATE (USE YOUR DISCRETION)! JOKES THAT ARE NOT FUNNY! COUSINS WHO HAVE THE SAME GRANDPARENTS! CAMPUS ANNOUNCEMENTS THAT YOU WANT TO HEAR AND PROBABLY ALREADY DID HEAR! LIMITED MISTAKES! LIVE MUSICIANS! GIVEAWAYS! THE LONGEST AND DUMBEST SHOW NAME IN RADIO HISTORY (CLAIM UNVERIFIED)! CONSTANT REMINDERS OF THE RADIO X PHONE NUMBER AND SCREENNAME! DON\'T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE BY THE SIMPLE TUNE OF A DIAL! YOU PROBABLY WON\'T BE LET DOWN! Juicy Goat Knee Faucet Left Turn Correct English Navel Dawn with Jeremy and Thor Bloodbath is the proper name of the show. The not-so-secret-anymore is that the name has no inherent meaning and is nothing more than a random collection of words (words lucky enough to be immortalized in the annals of college radio history, however. Let\'s not be modest ;) Using a bastard child as a metaphor, Thor and I believe the conception of the idea for the name was a mistake, but we kinda like it now. Plus, it\'s kinda catchy, ain\'t it? |
